Huge congratulations to Sixth Class for completing the Cycle Right Programme. Cycle Right is the national standard for cycle training, which is produced and facilitated by Cycling Ireland. It provides practical skills and safety training to promote competent and confident cyclists. The Cycle Right programme operates in collaboration with Department of Transport and RSA.
The programme is designed to give cyclists the knowledge and skills to move safely through the road system, an environment shared with other road users.
During the month of November, the class participated in four intensive sessions, which concluded with the class cycling on the main road into Killarney town navigating the main road, roundabouts, traffic lights and lots of different junctions.
The programme was an outstanding success and well done to everyone involved.
