Second Mr. Brosnan
School Closure Work
Week beginning Monday 25th May
I know that everybody is doing their best with the school work each week so well done. It was great to hear from many of you by email. Many thanks to all those children who emailed me pictures and descriptions of their precious heirlooms. If any other children have heirlooms at home I would love to hear all about them next week. Well done to everybody who logged into Mangahigh Maths. I am going to set an activity again this week as everybody seems to be really enjoying the games and improving at their maths at the same time. I hope that everybody was able to open and complete the word search last week. I will email you a new word search early in the week. We finished our Spelling book last week so we will do a little bit of revision for the next few weeks. The weather is supposed to be nice again next week so get out and enjoy it if you can. . Above all don’t forget to have fun and be kind to everybody at home.
Week beginning 25/05/2020
Don’t forget to spread out the list of work over the full week.
I will send out the spellings on the word search sheet.

Read pages 120 to 124 .As I mentioned last week the word heirloom is mentioned on page 116. It means a valuable object that has been in your family for generations. If you didn’t get to send me a picture of a heirloom you have at home last week you might like to send me one this week. In your English copy draw a picture of your family heirloom and write a few sentences about it.
Read the poem Peanut Butter on page 124.
I must say I like the poem but I actually hate peanut butter.
What do you really like to eat for lunch? Write five sentences about your favourite food and then draw a picture of it. Maybe you could help your parents prepare your favourite food.
Look at page 113. It teaches an important grammar rule. Read the Rule with your parent. See how well you know the Rule by playing the game on section C. You will need a dice.
Fill in page 114 neatly. Make sure you get the steps in the correct order.
Don’t forget the silent reading of your favourite book or indeed an online book. As I said last week it would be lovely to ask a parent or an older brother or sister to read the book with you if they have time. If you have run out of books to read, The Oxford Owl is a free e-library from the Oxford Reading Tree. Tell me about the book you are reading at moment or just email me a picture.
Small World Book.

Do section A neatly into the book
Do section B N1 to N 5. We can finish the rest next week.
It hope you had a go at singing those songs from your Religion book last week. This week we will revise another one that we did for First Holy Communion.
I’m Sorry God is a lovely song. You will find it on Theme 5, Lesson 1 Choices on the video
Remember don’t worry if you didn’t get all the work completed. As long as you do your best that is all that matters. Make sure you get out in the fresh and enjoy the sunshine.
